Traffic traces

There has been a growing interest in internet traffic research. However, it is often hard because of the lack of real traffic traces, especially traffic traces from high speed large network. In Dragonlab, traces are dumped from gigabit internet link and then prefix-preservingly anonymized with a fast IP address anonymization algorithm. Then these traces can be accessed from servers in testbed, thus avoid the necessity to download large volume of data. The source code of IP address anonymization scheme can be downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/projects/ipanon .

To use the traffic traces, the following steps should be followed:

1) Apply for dragonlab membership (see http://dragonlab.org/en/mem.php)

2) telnet to 203.91.120.154, select ¡°trace server 01¡±, use your username and password to login the traffic trace server.

3) The traffic traces is in the /data directory. It is gzip compressed pcap format traces.
